Jan Ingram
Janet Karla Ingram nee Horstman of St. Clair, MO, known to most as “Jan”, passed away peacefully in St. Clair, MO on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-four years, three months and twenty-eight days. Jan was born in St. Louis, MO on August 5, 1941, daughter of Raymond W. Horstman and Gertrude Elizabeth Horstman nee Winterfeld. For thirty-nine years she was united in marriage to Charles Robert Ingram, known to most as “Bob”, and three children came to bless this union.
Jan is survived by her children, Cindy Truitt, Bobby Ingram and Katy Castleberry; by her sister, Gloria Wagoner; by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ingram; by her parents, Ray and Gert Horstman; by one sister, Shirley Morgan.
Jan lived her life to the fullest, pouring her whole heart into her faith, her family, and the animals she cherished. Nothing brought her greater joy than summertime at Trinity Ranch in House Springs, Missouri, when her beloved grandchildren would come to stay, filling the days with laughter and the nights with stories under wide-open skies. For years, alongside her husband Bob, she welcomed boarders to their ranch and hosted team roping’s and barrel races that drew competitors from near and far, while generously sharing her lifelong passion for horsemanship. Teaching countless riders, coaching girls and women in the art of barrel racing and helping anyone willing to learn find their seat in the saddle. Jan has now ridden on ahead to join Bob and all the good souls who went before her. Fly high Cowgirl, until meet again.
