Janet Kohlmeier

Janet Kohlmeier, of Antigo, died on October 24, 2025 at her home. She was 81 years old. She was born on February 10, 1944 in Antigo, a daughter of Roland and Virgie (Crum) Van Ooyen. She married Fred Kohlmeier on August 6, 1985 at their home.
Janet was a graduate of Antigo High School Class of 1962. She worked at Sheldon's in Antigo for most of her career.
Janet loved gardening, especially her flowers. She was talented in many types of crafts including painting, woodworking, and crochet. Janet had a special place in her heart for wildlife and loved her pets, which throughout her life she had many. She was very supportive of all her nieces and nephews and always made an effort to be there for them.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a sister, Betty Ann Fleischman of Antigo; two sisters-in-law, Donna Van Ooyen and Darlene Van Ooyen both of Antigo; Godson, Michael (Ashley) Van Ooyen of De Forest; 11 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harland Van Ooyen, Richard Van Ooyen, and James Van Ooyen; and sister-in-law, Lucille Van Ooyen.
