Janet Leckey

Janet was born November 22, 1952 to Wilson D. and Evalyn P. (Goodman) Newcomer and passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart husband Mark A. Leckey, daughters Tricia M. (Dana) Dickinson of Elida, Ohio and Ellen M. Leckey, Findlay, Ohio and mother-in-law Glenna (Troiano) Leckey. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Albert Leckey and brother-in-law Larry Leckey.
She was a Van Buren High School graduate class of 1971 (K-12). She wore many hats during her career - registrar at former Findlay College, Financial Secretary/Bookkeeper at Maumee Valley Presbytery, Postmaster at Van Buren, Ohio and retired as Business Manager at Hancock Park District.
The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to Dr. Omar Al Asad and the nurses at The Armes Family Cancer Care Center for their care, Dr. Christa Nagel at The James - OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cancer Patient Services, and all of our friends who helped with trips to Columbus, bringing food for the family and all their love and support.
She enjoyed traveling - from coast to coast - Maine to Hawaii, and many trips to Florida. Her favorite trip was to Italy to celebrate their 50 th anniversary. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 12-2 pm. at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Services will be at the funeral home at 2 pm with burial to be held in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren, Ohio. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.
