Janet Loppnow Obituary

Janet Loppnow

December 5, 1933 - January 30, 2025

Janet Loppnow, 91, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at AngelsGrace Hospice, with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 5, 1933, in Racine, Wis., the daughter of Henry and Gladys (nee Rediske) Nelsen. On February 18, 1956, Janet married her beloved husband, Noel M. Loppnow, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2000. Together and with their children, Janet and Noel proudly operated Waukesha Floral and Greenhouse until their retirement in 1997. Janet was a dedicated member of the Wisconsin Upper Michigan Florist Association (WUMFA) and was a faithful, active member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Berlin, where she took pleasure in singing in the choir. Above all, Janet cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her children, Beth Loppnow of Waukesha, Tom (Dori) Loppnow of Dousman, and Marty (Jane) Loppnow of Genesee; her grandchildren, Grace (fiancée Maria Succio) Loppnow, Hannah (Matt) Hadley, Peyton (Patrick) Maylen, and Morgan (Alex Williams) Loppnow-Williams; great-granddaughter Etta Hadley; a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Noel and her parents, her sister Carol (Gene) Schneider preceded her in death. A visitation in celebration of Janet's life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Peace Lutheran Church, located at 17651 W. Small Road, New Berlin, Wis. 53146. At 2 p.m., graveside services will take place for anyone who wishes to come to Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. P.rairie Ave., Waukesha. If desired, memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to Peace Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed, however Janet's unending faith and trust in the Lord is her lasting legacy to all who knew her. Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
