Janet Michaelson

Janet Michaelson, 93, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2022 in her home.
Janet was born in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of Hyman and Ella Kaplan. While attending Monticello High School where she graduated in 1946, she met the love of her life, Ernest ("Ernie"), and they were
married in 1948. They celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary just a few days prior to her passing.
Janet is survived by her husband Ernie, her son Marc (Debbie) of Smyrna, Tennessee, her grandchildren Corey (Nina), Jay (Allison) & Amy; her son Steven (Susan) of Sunrise, Florida, her grandson Jeremy
(Ali); and her son Robert (Maria) of Hollywood, Florida, and her grandchildren Alan and Keith. Janet adored all of her great grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Owen, Zachary, Elise, Elliot, Hailey, and Lily. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Termine of Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Janet, along with Ernie, opened up their own business in 1962, called Ernie's TV, in Hollywood, Florida, where they operated the business until they retired in 2008. She enjoyed knitting and playing mahjong.
A memorial service was held on October 11, 2022, where she was laid to rest at the Beth David Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Florida.
