Janet Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woody Home for Services on Dec. 10, 2024.
Janet Moore, born on June 27, 1956, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late James Edward Moore and Ruth Thomas Marshall, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and the meaningful bonds she nurtured with those she loved.
Janet was a cherished sister to Denise Moore, the late James Edward Moore Jr., and Rosalyn Jackson. She pursued her education at John Jay College in New York and dedicated many years of her professional career to the Department of Veterans Affairs in Newark, NJ, where her commitment to serving others left a lasting impact.
Janet's family was her greatest joy and pride. She was a devoted mother to the late Roderick Elliot Moore and Troy Moore, who received unwavering support from his partner and future wife, Crystal Curbelo. Janet's love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.
Her legacy is carried forward by her treasured grandson, Khalial Moore, and his wife, Lorena Moore, along with their children: Jinaah Moore, Adriel Moore, Ainsley Moore, and Alyn Moore; her beloved granddaughter, Khadirah Moore, and her son, Kyler Moore; and her dear grandson, Kha'lyn Moore. Janet found profound happiness in spending time with her family, especially watching movies and enjoying good meals. Her passion for delicious food and her talent for creating memorable moments will be deeply missed.
Janet's warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to know her. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to celebrate her life and love.
May Janet Moore rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her, and forever embraced by the love of those she held dear.
