Janet H. Moore

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Janet H. Moore, of West Homestead, who passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones in her final days, on March 30, 2026, at the age of 95. Janet was born on April 28, 1930, and was the beloved matriarch and foundation of our family.

She was the devoted daughter of the late John and Rose DePalma; beloved wife of the late Howard T. Moore; loving mother to Daniel (Georgia), James (the late Anna Mae), Ronald (Nina), and the late Thomas J. Moore; proud and cherished "Mama" to her grandchildren, Erin (Jimmy) Moore, Ryan (Susan) Moore, Julie (late Joseph) Moore, Megan (James) Pilkington-Moore, Billy (Alyssa) Cadamore, Brittni (Travis) Bair, and Brandi (Jamar) Harrison; loving "Great Mama" to Luca DiMarco, Vivi Kuney, Gio DiMarco, Lily Moore, Riley Pilkington-Moore, Rosie Pilkington-Moore, Violet Moore, Liam Cadamore, Carson Cadamore, Lucy Cadamore, Journi Harrison, Jianna Harrison, Jaylen Harrison, and River May Bair; beloved sister of the late Joseph DePalma, Theresa Romano, and Grace Balochko; she is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Alongside her husband, Howard, Janet was part owner and secretary of Howard T. Moore Heating and Cooling, where she played an important role in the family business. A devoted member of the St. Therese of Lisieux Church, Janet faithfully served as both a choir member and Eucharistic minister for many years. She loved spending time at her and Howard's home in Sarasota, a place that held special meaning as where they were married in 1950. Proudly Italian, Janet was known for her strength, her strong will, and her unmistakable spirit. She was tough, resilient, and full of life - with a sharp, quick wit and a fun, spirited personality that could light up a room and keep everyone on their toes. Above all, she was the heart of her family - the glue that held generations together. Her love, traditions, humor, and strength will live on through the four generations she built and inspired. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 1, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, and Thursday, April 2, 12 - 1:30 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120.
