Alice Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boren-Conner Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Mar. 31, 2026.
Alice "Ann" Moore

July 21, 1936 – March 26, 2026

Alice "Ann" Moore went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on July 21, 1936, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Herbert and Alice Bonds. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Terry Ford Bonds and Jerry Lee Bonds; and her sister, Donna Kay Bonds.

Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Robyn Moore Moore, and her daughter, Terri Moore; her grandchildren, Taylor, Rachel, and Richard; and her great-granddaughter, Layla. She loved and was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Ann graduated from McCallum High School (Austin) in 1954, where she was senior class president and voted "Friendliest Lassie." She went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in art. During her time at UT, she worked at a candy store at the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company building. It was here she met the "love of her life" Richard Moore and then married him October 6, 1956.

She was saved on April 12, 1970, and baptized in the spring of 1974 by Arge Brockles at Believers Chapel. She faithfully attended Northlake Bible Church and later Believers Chapel. Ann retired as an Executive Assistant at Blue Cross Blue Shield. She lived in Dallas and Garland for fifty-eight years before moving to Tyler in February, 2024, to be closer to her son, Michael.

The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living in Garland and the compassionate CNAs and nurses at The Heights in Tyler-especially Aubrey, Ruby, and Chelsea-who took such good care of her in her final days. They also extend their gratitude to her dear friends in Tyler, Alina Oudman and Becky Ward and her beloved friend of over fifty years, Lois McDowell.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at:
