Nell Stafford Brooks

Mrs. Nell Frances Stafford Brooks was born on September 1, 1940, to the late Walter and Ruby Sanders Stafford.

She was raised in Kilgore, Texas, where she grew up attending New Hope Church of Christ. At an early age, Nell developed a strong foundation of faith and family values that would guide her throughout her life. She later became a faithful member of North Tenneha Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas, under the leadership of Bro. Edward Robinson.

On December 19, 1958, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Ray Ector Lee Brooks. Their union was one of love, devotion, and enduring commitment, spanning many years and creating a legacy of family and cherished memories. Nell was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in her family and took great pride in nurturing and supporting those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruby Stafford, and her siblings, Walter Stafford, Jr., Joseph Stafford, and Era B. Stafford.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted husband, Ray Ector Lee Brooks; two sons, Ector Charles Brooks (Bema) and Lavert Duran Brooks; three grandchildren, Marcus Charles Brooks, Keenan Brooks, Sr., and Davanta Brooks; and three great-grandchildren, Keenan Brooks, Jr., Kaelyn Brooks, and Aceyr Brooks, one brother, Adolphus Stafford (Lena); along with a host of nieces and other relatives and friends.
