With hearts full of love and deep sadness, we share the passing of Janet Shamblin Mullins, who passed away at the age of 79. Born in Goose Creek, Texas, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Janet left this world peacefully, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and quiet grace. Janet was married to Carl William Mullins, her true love. Marrying the man of her dreams was her most beloved achievement - a love story built on faith, laughter, and unshakable devotion. Together, they created a beautiful life and a family rooted in love and shared purpose. Although their time was short on physical earth, they have officially reunited in our eternal world. Janet loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life guided by her deep faith. She was a devoted Baptist, finding strength and joy in her relationship with God. She loved attending Old River Baptist Church, where she was a familiar and faithful presence. Throughout her life, Janet was known for her loving, selfless, faithful, and kind nature. These defining character traits shaped the way she touched everyone's life with warmth and grace. Whether through a gentle word or a generous act, Janet's spirit was a comforting presence to family, friends, and all who knew her. Janet was a dedicated and hard-working professional. She held positions at The Baytown Sun Newspaper, Mr. B's Menswear, Harris County Federal Credit Union, Beacon Credit Union, formally known as the "Dupont Report", and as a cake decorator at Texas Superfoods. In every role, she was known for her integrity, warm professionalism, and deep care for others. It was at these places that she made long-lasting friendships. She also cherished her time at the Hilltop at Eagle Pointe, where she exercised regularly with her close-knit group of girlfriends. These gatherings brought her laughter, companionship, and a deep sense of community. Family was the center of Janet's world. She poured her heart into every relationship - as a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud Granna. Her family was not just part of her life; they were her life. She thoroughly enjoyed vacationing in the mountains of Colorado with them throughout her lifetime. Janet is survived by her two sons Terrill Wayne Mullins and Richard Blake Mullins and wife, Tammy.. She was a proud grandmother to Jessica Kristine Mullins, Brandon Christopher Mullins, Justin Mullins and wife, Mellaine; and Courtney Carter and husband, Chris. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren. Janet's spirit will live on in the stories told, the recipes shared, the laughter around the table, and the values she instilled in generations to come. She was dearly loved, deeply missed, and will always be remembered.
