Janet Mundion Obituary
Born on February 3, 1943, in Dansville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Aleta (Schwartz) Hanks.
Janet's family moved to the Medina area when she was three years of age. She graduated from Medina High School in 1961, that same year, she married the late Norman Mundion and together they raised two children. Janet was known for her quilt making and enjoyed reading and tending to her garden.
Janet is survived by her two children, Steven (Ann) Mundion of Le Roy, NY, and Sarah (Tony) Esposito of Tonawanda, NY, two grandsons, Justin Bates and Byran (Deanna) Ahl, two great-grandchildren, Evan and Vivian, also surviving is her brother, Dean (Ruth Ann) Hanks of Washington state, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Janet is predeceased by a daughter, Amy Mundion, and two siblings, Carl Hanks and Kay Fergan.
There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Janet's name to the East Shelby Fire Company, 5012 E. Shelby Rd. Medina, NY 14103, or to Hospice of Orleans Inc. - Donations, 14080 Route 31 W. Albion, NY 14411, or to Lee- Whedon Memorial Library, 620 West. Ave. Medina, NY 14103
