Janet E. Murray entered into eternal rest and is now safely in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her life was a beautiful reflection of a deep and abiding faith in God, lived out through her unwavering love for family, her quiet strength, and a heart anchored in hope. In every season of life, Janet’s words and actions pointed others toward grace, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and compassion that will continue to bless all who knew her.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, James Raymond Murray, who passed in 2000 after 43 years of a loving and faithful marriage. Their life together stood as a testimony to steadfast devotion, shared purpose, and God’s enduring faithfulness. In later years, Janet was blessed to find love again and was united in marriage before God to Paul Wolfe, who also preceded her in death. With both husbands, she shared companionship, laughter, prayer, and a deep commitment to family and faith.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Lori Baas McCorkle (Jerry Stierhoff), James Murray (Teresa), and Susan Adkins (Samuel). She was a devoted and cherished grandmother to Courtney Nicole Baas, Mallory Marie McCorkle, Austin Hunter Adkins, and Zoey Isabelle Adkins, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She delighted in their lives, celebrated their milestones, prayed faithfully for their futures, and never missed an opportunity to encourage them and remind them how deeply they were loved.

She is also survived by her beloved sister, Sharon Staley, her nephew, Scott Staley (Krista), and her great-nephews, Noah and Alex, who were all cherished members of her extended family.

In addition to her husbands, Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Delmar Bautler, and her sister, Georgianna Bautler Starkey, who was married to Jim Starkey. She is lovingly survived and remembered by Delmar’s children, Sandy (Steve) and Peter (Doreen) and by her great-niece, Michelle Drozdick, Sandy’s daughter.

Janet had a special gift for remembering people, stories, and meaningful moments. She carried others in her heart and spoke of them with warmth, intention, and genuine care. Whether through a handwritten note, a thoughtful phone call, or a quiet conversation, she had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and remembered. Grounded in her faith, she brought the peace of God into every situation, choosing encouragement, gratitude, and trust in the Lord through every season of life. Even in difficult times, her gentle spirit reflected the comfort and confidence she found in God’s promises.

Her family takes great comfort in knowing that Janet is now fully restored, at peace, and joyfully reunited with both of her beloved husbands, her brother, her sister, and all who have gone before her in faith. They rejoice in the assurance that she is now whole, free from pain, and dwelling in the presence of the Savior she loved and served so faithfully.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

- Psalm 23

Per Jan’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at Dublin Community Church this spring, her favorite season, when everything is in full bloom. Her inurnment will also take place at that time. Thank you for your continued love and support.
