Janet Myers Obituary
LA GRANGE
Janet Fitzpatrick Myers, age 79, formerly of New Albany, Ind., passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2026, in La Grange, Ky., at Richwood Nursing Facility.
Born in Evansville, Ind., to the late James E. and Mary Ruth Fitzpatrick, she graduated from Harrison High School and attended the University of Evansville.
Jan's greatest joy was motherhood. She lovingly raised her three sons, Patrick (Angie) Myers, Jeffrey Myers and Doug (Melanie) Myers, serving as their devoted mom, cook and chauffeur. She cherished her six grandchildren, Evan, Jude, Shayne, A.J., Griffin and Andrew.
She loved animals (often rescuing strays), days at the racetrack and holidays, especially Christmas, when she made magical memories for her boys.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold Spielman, Janet held John 3:16 close in her final days, trusting in the promise of eternal life.
A private family service will be held later.
