Leann Marie Grayson

Leann Marie Grayson, age 38, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at 1:05 p.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Born on June 8, 1987, in Evansville, to Roger Dale Grayson and Janet Lynne Eigsti.

Leann attended Harrison High School, where she made lasting impressions on those who knew her. After graduating, she joined Aspire Adult Day Services with the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, a community that quickly became another family to her.

For 33 years, Leann made her home with Powell and Fuquay Group Homes at Easterseals, where she was cherished deeply by the staff and residents alike. Her caretakers adored her and often spoke of the joy she brought into their days.

Leann had a bright, playful spirit. She was known for her infectious zerbert sounds-her own sweet way of connecting with others-and the delight she felt when someone took the time to tickle her and share in her laughter. Her sense of humor was one of a kind; she loved watching horror movies, not with fear, but with pure amusement, laughing through every eerie moment as if it were the best comedy.

Her friendships ran deep, and her presence had a way of making any room warmer. To her Easterseals family, Leann was not just someone they supported-she was someone they loved. Her life was a reminder that joy can be simple, connection can be soft, and love can be shared without a single word being spoken.

Leann's generosity extended beyond her time on earth. As an organ donor, she gave the precious gift of life and healing to others - a final act of compassion that reflected the love she shared throughout her lifetime.

Leann is survived by her mother, Janet Lynne Eigsti; her brother, Aaron Dembowski; and a large, loving network of friends and caregivers from Easterseals Residential Services and Aspire Day Services, all of whom will forever hold her close in their hearts.

A celebration of Leann's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fuquay Group Home at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, where Leann was cared for and loved for so many years.
