William Grayson Obituary
Born in Spindale, North Carolina, he graduated from R.S. Central High School and served his country in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother whose steady presence and strong work ethic shaped the lives of those around him. He dedicated his career to highway construction, specializing in concrete sawing and sealing and enjoyed retirement in Woodstock, Georgia, where he remained active in his community.
A member of Spencer Baptist Church and his Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years, he lived his faith through service and kindness. He enjoyed dinners with friends, playing cards, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his daughter Jacqueline Hannon and her husband Johnnie Hannon. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine James Grayson; parents Pearl and Oscar Grayson; brothers Norman and Max and sister Hazel Ray.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1665 Oakland Road, Forest City, NC, 28043 with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, Oxford, NC, or online at mhc-oxford.org.
