I will always have fond memories of sitting around the kitchen table over the past three decades visiting with Jan the family. Jan always made me feel welcome and part of the family. I grew up with Mike and spent a lot of time at your house -- there a lot of fond memories but Jan’s smile, graciousness and hospitality will always be remembered and missed.
We will always miss you,
Love, Nick Novak & Family

Our Deepest Sympathy go out to you Vern, Karen and Michael. Jan was a very special friend to me when I needed her most in my life, I am very sad to have lost contact with her through the years but I will always remember her friendship to me and my family.

My family remembers Jan with great fondness. We lived in the same neighborhood in the 1970's. She and her kids found a stray "weiner" dog and talked our mother into finally getting a family dog. We were thrilled and we loved Missy, or Huck as my Dad called her. I also babysat Karen and Michael for Jan and Vern and they were great kids with excellent parents. I was so sorry to hear of your loss of Jan.
Fondly,
Jane Jensen Mazurs and Bertha Jensen

Regarding what an extraordinary person Janet was, which deepens my regret at not having had the opportunity to know her better. Her legacy is plainly visible in all of you who have known and loved her, and I have no doubt that her spirit will continue to guide you. I wish that simple words could be of more comfort to those in need of comforting, but I realize they are only tokens.
Please accept my heart felt sympathy, respect and condolences.

I remember Janet very well. I used to love going to Steak and Shake and her other favorite restaurants with her. I loved watching her and my mother (her sister) interact. She and her family were always kind and friendly to me.
