Linda,Cheryl,Wendy and Leslie- Auntie Jan has always been in my life. She was there when I was born. I have so many memories of not just her but of your Dad and of all of you. Our families were together so much. Camping, holidays and picnics. Your Mom was a Very special lady who not only was my Mom´s closet friend but a lasting part of my life. I can remember playing pinochle with her and my Mom. She crocheted a blanket for Heather when she was born watched her while I had graduation practice made my Rainbow girls gown and was there when my Mom was in the hospital. She was just an amazing talented and giving woman! You lucky to have her as a Mom!! I know she will be missed by all but especially you four girls and your families. Keep each other and your memories close and she and your Dad will live on forever. Love you Karen

Linda, Cheryl, Wendy, Leslie; I am so saddened to learn of your mother´s passing. Janet Planten was a good friend back in the days when we worked together at Bishop Wicke; she was an inspiring mentor and advisor to me, smart, had a nice sense of humor. To this day, I look forward to decorating our Christmas tree to see, once again, beautiful ornaments that she so perfectly crafted and gifted me decades ago. So many wonderful memories of her. She was a wonderful lady, full of strength, compassion and goodness. May she rest in heavenly peace.
