Mrs. Janet Pritchett Pruitt, 83, resident of Yanceyville, died August 29, 2025 at her home.

She was born June 8, 1942 in Swaim County, NC, a daughter to the late Ivey and Kathleen DeHart Pritchett. Later she moved to Archdale where she resided almost 30 years before moving to Yanceyville last March. Janet was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Archdale and worked at Precision Fabrics in Greensboro.

Surviving is her daughter, Donna Roach (Norman) of Yanceyville; two sons, Charles Warren (Debbie) of Lexington and Jeff Warren (Alice) of Cedar Square; three sisters, Darlene, Mary and Irene; six brothers, James, Scotty, Danny, Randy, Tommy and Johnny; and fifteen grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Warren; second husband, John Starling; third husband, Lawerance Pruitt; son, William Warren, grandson, Dustin Warren; brother, Junior Pritchett; and sister, Debbie Poland.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville with Bishop Steve Rich officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, at the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association c/o Western North Carolina Chapter at www.alz.org. Condolences may be made through www.cumbyfuneral.com.
