Born and raised in Southampton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Clark.

In 1952, Janet received a Registered Nurse diploma from the School of Nursing of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, MA, where upon graduation she joined the staff as a nurse. In 1985, Richard and Janet moved to West Chester, PA, where they made many wonderful friends and neighbors. Always up for an adventure, Janet (and Richard) embarked on a two week cross country trip to visit her uncle in Arizona and her sister in Colorado. Later taking various excursions around the United States and Canada, including a solo trip in 2012 to visit family in southern California.

Janet was a kind, gentle and thoughtful person, always remembering a birthday, anniversary, graduation or other important event. Her cooking and baking skills resulted in many memorable meals, as well as cookies and other treats during holidays. Janet was very involved with her church, enjoyed many lunches/outings with various friends, and especially loved spending Sunday afternoons with her daughter in-law and her two sons. Additionally, Janet liked reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy (TV show) or catching up with family and friends near or far.

Janet is survived by children Clark (Monica) of Nottingham, PA, Glen of West Chester, PA, sister Joan Damp of Bonney Lake, WA, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janet was predeceased by brothers George Clark of Archbold, OH, and Gordon Clark of Basking Ridge, NJ.
