Janet Jo Richardson, age 76, a resident of Liberty, Missouri, a former resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Janet was born the daughter of Kenneth and Nadine (Hargrave) Hatfield on January 13, 1949, in Braymer, Missouri. She was a graduate of Braymer High School. She was united in marriage to George Richardson on September 3, 1982, at the Braymer Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri. He survives of the home. Janet worked as a postal clerk at the Braymer Post Office for many years. She loved to read.
Janet is also survived by her son, Adam Richardson of Gladstone, Missouri; one step son, Georgie Richardson of Chicago, Illinois; one step daughter, Kelly Ray of Marshall, Missouri; two step grandchildren, Alexander and Evelyn; two step great grandchildren; one sister, Diane Cowsert of Norborne, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Jo; and four uncles, Alvie, Lee, Bob and Raymond.
Cremation was held. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com.
