Janet M. (LaFountaine) Roy, 61, passed away, 4th day of February 2026 at home with her husband, son and family members, in W. Swanzey, NH.
She was born June 5,1964, Clinton, MA, the 7th daughter (2nd Twin) of Glenda Plankey LaFountaine.
She was the wife of David M. Roy. They were married for 31 years on April 2, 1994, at The Community Church, in W. Swanzey, NH.
Janet attended Keene and Swanzey Schools. During her early years she was employed at One Hour Dry Cleaners and Kennedy Publication.
She then was employed by National Grange Mutual as a customer service representative. The company now known as The Main Street America Group with dedication to her position, she became an Agency Service Representative and instructor, doing on-line training of future customer service representatives. Her co-workers remember her as a good instructor, kind personality, friendly smile, giver of warm hugs.
Janet enjoyed attending and assisting with family gatherings for special occasions. She found joy in tending her flower gardens, feeding and watching squirrels.
During trips to the ocean with her sisters, she collected seashells.
She is predeceased by her nephew Jason Marrer; 3 nieces Samantha (Cooper) Ayala, Lindsey Sheldon, Hilary Henderson; brother Alexander G. "Andy" LaFountaine Jr.; 3rd sister Laura (Cooper) Glossinger passed Feb. 5, in Erie, PA.
Survived by her husband David: her son Jeremy: Sisters: Dianne L. Weston and husband James "Jim" of W. Swanzey; Patricia L. "Pat" LaFountaine of W. Swanzey:Carol L. Willett of N. Swanzey; Denise F. Robbins and husband James "Jim" of Keene; Her twin June M. Fish and husband ONeil "Jay" of Surry; Lorraine G.Austin and husband Leroy "Mike" of Richmond; Brother: Ronald D. "Ronnie" LaFountaine of Marlborough: numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins in NH and MA. Mother-in-law Jacqueline Romero and husband Antonio; sister-in-law Melissa Roy-Hill and husband Lyle; step-mother Ilene Roy, husband Winston deceased.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
