Janet Marie Sharman

Janet Marie Wilson Sharman, age 68 of Lilburn, GA passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sharman; her father, Thomas Williams Wilson; her stepfather, Harold Visser; her brother, Jim Wilson; her in-laws, Janet Woodruff, Diane and Joe Jenkins, Linda Inman; and her grandson, Liam Wesley Sharman.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Visser; her daughter, Roselynn Sharman; her son, Jimmy Sharman; her grandsons, James and Davis Sharman; and her brother, Tom Wilson.

Janet was a woman of many talents. She was born in Nuremberg, Germany, and moved to the United States at the age of one. As the daughter of a military family, she moved often until they settled in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, where her mother still resides.

At 19, Janet met her husband, Jim, and they shared 45 years of marriage before his passing in February 2023. They lived in Tallahassee, Florida, until 1996, when they relocated to Lilburn, Georgia.

Janet loved Jesus and had a passion for at-home projects, sewing, painting, gardening, reading, and watching movies. She worked in accounts receivable, where she balanced every dollar down to the exact penny.

Above all, Janet loved her children and devoted herself to ensuring they were always cared for. For the past ten years, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Janet leaves behind a void that can never be replaced.

The memorial service to celebrate the life of Janet and Jim Sharman will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
