Janet Ann Slater

Janet Ann Slater, 78, of LaGrange, passed away at 3:40 am on Sunday, October 27, at The Waters of LaGrange. She was born on September 2, 1946, in Pioneer, OH, to John and Helen (Hollstein) Barron. On December 17, 1965, in Bryan, OH, she married Howard Slater, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sara (Kraig Blim) Slater of Klamath Falls, OR and Christine Turner of Ellensburg, WA; son, Matt (Amy) Slater of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Bill Barron. Janet worked as a social worker for numerous different companies and was an artist who loved to paint and read. Due to numerous illnesses Janet spent over eight years at The Waters in LaGrange. She stayed in high spirits while she was there and formed many special friendships with the staff and other residents.
