Janet L. Slover

Janet L. Slover, 93, of Lancaster, went to join her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Ashby) Slover.

Janet spent much of her life working at The Long Home in Lancaster, working her way up to a supervisory position through her dedication. She also spent many years helping prepare meals in the rectory of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. Outside of her professional life, Janet enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. A longtime member of Saint Joseph’s, she also took great pride in her Catholic faith.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Tracy Przybyski (fiancée of John); grandchildren Ashley (Roger) Heisey, Hillary (Shane) Shue, Logan (Sarah) Przybyski, and Brandon (Christie) Przybyski; great-grandchildren Rylie Shue, Noah Shue, and Kevin Heisey; and great-niece Cherish Frick. She is preceded in passing by her parents and 9 siblings.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1-2PM at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, with a funeral service to follow at 2PM. Janet will be laid to rest at Woodward Hill Cemetery, 501 S Queen St, Lancaster, PA 17603.
