Michael E. Dearolf, 68, of Holtwood, PA, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy, with his wife and sister by his side.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard and Anna-Mary (Maser) Dearolf. He was the loving husband of Penny S. (Reynolds) Dearolf.
Mike worked for Armstrong World Industries where he spent many years providing for those he loved. He found his greatest joy outdoors. Mike loved hunting in Virginia and fishing with his family. He enjoyed shooting pool with his late brother and his son. Each year, he looked forward to trips to the beach, especially enjoying Kohr Brothers ice cream and grabbing pizza at Grotto’s — simple traditions that meant so much to him. Mike was a man who always put others before himself. He made countless sacrifices to ensure his family’s happiness came before his own. Filled with wisdom, strength, and quiet guidance, he was someone his family could always rely on. His love was steady, selfless, and unwavering.
He is survived by his wife, Penny; his sons, David and Michael (Kristina) Dearolf, Jr.; his siblings, George, Jeff, Larry, Helen “Buck”, Shirley, Dorothy, and Deb; his grandchildren, Michael III, Hunter, Dalton, and Payton; and a great grandson, Haiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dick Dearolf.
Services will be announced at a later date.
