Janet Spedding

Janet Lee Spedding was born in Quincy, Illinois to Rose Eleanor Aldag and Virgil Clarence Aldag August 29, 1939. Her family relocated to Los Gatos, California when she was very young. Janet attended Los Gatos High School where she met, and subsequently married, Robert William Spedding Jr. in June of 1956. Janet would have four children: Sheryl Lynn, Robert Anderson, Denise Marie, and Kenneth Wayne.

Janet enjoyed becoming a beautician and hair styling. One of her passions was to go to styling conventions in San Francisco with fellow stylists. She also enjoyed live theater performances with her mother in San Francisco. Janet had four grandchildren; Travis James Long, Robert Silas Spedding, Nicole Lee Spedding, and Candace Lorene Spedding; seven great grandchildren; Josh, Taj, Isabel, Glenn, Kessler Lee, Hugh and Italia. She delighted in taking them to sprint car races wherever they raced in California. She would load up the kids and their bicycles for a racing adventure weekend.

Janet moved to Sonora, California almost 30 years ago and enjoyed living in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Picnics with family members, by the streams, were the perfect afternoons for her.

Janet spent her last few years living in rural Lake Havasu, Arizona. The climate was conducive to her health, and she enjoyed the warm sun.

Janet is survived by her children; Sheryl, Robert, and Kenneth, grandchildren, great grandchildren and two siblings; Virgil Aldag and Bonnie Foster. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Denise, and great grandbaby, Hugh.
