L. Janet (Cain) Stout, a.k.a., "Chicken Lady" passed on December 8, 2025. Strong and independent minded to the end.

She is survived by her 3 children: Jamie Hays, Anne Gregory, Eryn Fletcher, 5 siblings: Connie, Ronnie, Gary, Beverly & Danny; and 9 grandchildren: Alan Michael, Katie, Abigail, Jack, Tori, Cole, Andrew, Grace and Sam. Her parents, Lloyd and Maxine; husband, George Hoyle; and siblings, Larry, Leanna, Kim, and Randy preceded her in death.

When asked how she felt - she always said, "I feel fine." She was a passionate workaholic, card shark and practical joker who was well known for cheating at euchre. A gift from Mom could be a real surprise. She made her home in Idaho and Alaska, because choosing one state to live in seemed too stingy. She had many friends and made new ones easily, unless your name was Ron, which is long story (name changed to protect individual's identity). She was lucky because she found her calling in life as an educator and her devotion improved the lives of many. We should all be so lucky.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
