Obituary of Janet Kay Stubenrauch
Janet Kay Stubenrauch, 82 years, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Janet was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on September 2, 1941, to Frank M. Burleson and Dorothy Brooks Burleson. She married Gary L. Stubenrauch, and together they had three children; Jeffrey, Brian, and her step-daughter Wendy. In 1986, Janet, along with her family, moved from Issaquah, Washington to Winter Haven, Florida, where she remained until 2020. After living several years near family in Live Oak, Florida, Janet joined family in Pensacola, Florida in 2024. Janet was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and was also an active member of Winter Haven Worship Center in Winter Haven, Florida. She enjoyed Bible studies and small group at her church, as well as reading in her free time.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Frank Burleson and Dorothy Brooks Burleson; husband Gary L. Stubenrauch; and grandson Kyle Stubenrauch.
She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Stubenrauch (Nicole), and Brian Stubenrauch (Mary Beth), and stepdaughter Wendy Stubenrauch; sisters Bernita "Bernie" Cook, Debra Lieuallen, Dona Lanterman (Gary), and Vicki Burleson; brothers Frank Burleson (Fran), and Rick Burleson (Sandy); 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Janet will be greatly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those friends and family who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at Charity Chapel on Sunday August 18, 2024 at 4pm to celebrate Janet's life.
