Janet Stultz Obituary

Janet Boyer Stultz, 90, of Woodstock, Va., passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1935, in Waterlick, Va., to Ernest Lee Boyer and Nancy Jane (Campbell) Boyer. She is survived by her daughters Ronda Crone (Dwight) and Mary Stultz; grandsons, Jacob and Hunter Crone; her sisters, Jean Bauserman and Lila Williams; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Stultz.

Janet grew up as a farm girl in Fort Valley. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1954 and attended Maryland Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, Md. She and Ronnie were married in 1959 and settled in Woodbridge, Va. She worked as a secretary for an admiral in the Navy until her daughters were born. She later went to work for the federal government as a secretary at General Services Administration in Washington, DC. Over time she advanced to the position of program analyst of the Real Estate Division of the National Capital Region of GSA. After retirement, they relocated to St. Luke, Va. Janet was a member of Woodstock United Methodist Church, Dorcas Circle, and TOP of VA Quilt Guild. She will be remembered for her quilting, sewing, and gardening skills, and for her generous heart.

A graveside funeral service will be held at St. Luke Cemetery (923 St Luke Road, Woodstock, VA) on November 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in the name of Janet Stultz can be made to Woodstock United Methodist Church (156 S. Muhlenberg St., Woodstock, VA 22664) or to a charity of your choice.
