Janet Lavern Summers, age 69, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
The daughter of Delmar and Vecil (Bolin) Middleton was born August 19, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Janet enjoyed many things in life, including gardening, cooking, collecting, and carpentry. She also enjoyed thrift store shopping and going to yard sales. But the most important thing to Janet was her family and spending time with them. She was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed by her family.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Vecil Middleton; her husband, Tommy Summers; her sister, Connie Lane; her baby brother, Delmar Langston; Son-in-law, Bruce Robertson; daughter-in-law, Heidi Summers; and brother-in-law, Randy Summers.
Janet is survived by her son, Buddy Summers of Verona, MO; her daughter, Samantha Robertson of Verona, MO; her brothers, Kary Middleton and wife Debbie of Mt. Judea, AR, Glen Middleton and wife Ruth of Western Grove, AR, Randal Middleton and wife Lydia of Vendor, AR, and Donnie Middleton and wife Tammy of Leslie, AR; her sister, Lisa Roughton of Verona, MO; and her sister-in-law, Sue Middleton and husband Jay of Western Grove, AR.
Janet is also survived by her grandchildren, Sara Summers, Brent Summers, Brendan Summers, Grace Robertson, Shelby Robertson, Jessie Robertson, and Bryan Robertson; and her great-grandchildren, Xander Freemon, Kruz Calvillo, Gabriel Summers, Leo Hernandez, Brendan Summers Jr., Emma Grace, and Easton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR, with Alex Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Vendor, AR.
Pallbearers will be Cody Oak, Brendan Summers, Bryan Roland, Bryan Robertson, Colt Loftis, and Rodney Middleton.
Honorary pallbearers are Brent Summers, Bret Middleton, Trance Middleton, Delmar Middleton, Logan Lane, and Eduardo Salas Perez.
