She was born on September 27, 1938 in Estill County, KY to the late Bertha Lee Slone Howard and Hector Howard.
She was a catholic by faith, worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company and raised her loving family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeri Lynn Corrigan; son, Michael Dale McDonald; and grandson, Steve Corrigan.
She is survived by her loving husband, William K. Walts; son, John Payne (Shirley); daughter-in-law, Angela McDonald; grandchildren, E. Scott Payne (Beth), Matt Payne (Molly), and Melissa Butler (David); granddaughter-in-law, Dawn Corrigan; great grandchildren, Amelia Payne, Abbi Payne, Maverick Payne, Piper Payne, Leo Payne, Houston Butler, Cadence Butler, Brittany Corrigan, Breanna Corrigan, Allison Corrigan and Gage Corrigan; and great-great grandson, Kai.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road. Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday with entombment to immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
