Janette "Judy" Wade, age 89, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Mike Wimberley. Burial will follow services in Walker Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Russell Wade, Brad Wade, Kyle Lewis, Dr. Jonathan Smith, Sam Tharpe, and Danny Freeman; with honorary pallbearers, Dr. Andrew Coleman, Alexandra Lewis, and Jenny Wade.
Visitation with the family is scheduled at McEvoy on Thursday after 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Judy Wade was born on February 15, 1937, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late John O. Enoch and the late Pauline Merrell Enoch. She married Wallace "Jake" Wade on October 29, 1954, and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2020. Judy is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Paul) Carney of Paris; son, Teddy (Opal) Wade of Paris; grandchildren, Russell Wade, Brad (Jenny) Wade, and Alexandra (Kyle) Lewis; sisters, Margaret Dunlap of Buchanan, Deloris "Cookie" Collins of Palmersville, and Diane Cole of Montgomery, Alabama; and by special grand dog, Barkley.
Judy graduated from Puryear High School in 1955 and was a Benefits Coordinator for Tecumseh Products for 22 years. She also worked at Mitchum Cosmetics until its closing. Judy was a member of the Baptist Church.
The family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 25, Paris, TN 38242, or to Fairview Baptist Church, 114 Memorial Drive, Paris, TN 38242.
