Janette M. Miller, 86, of Saegertown, passed away on Saturday evening July 12, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Meadville on July 20, 1938, a daughter of Howard and Phoebe (Castile) Huson.
Janette was a graduate of Saegertown High School and on July 21, 1956, she married Donald Miller, he passed away on December 17, 2005.
She was a waitress for many years, drove school bus, was the secretary for Woodcock Township, and most recently was a prep cook at Kings Family Restaurant.
Janette enjoyed her donkeys and dash hounds, cooking, and going to the fair. She was a member of the Saegertown American Legion and would always help with fundraisers for the fire department.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Free and her husband Harold; a brother, Robert Huson and his wife Nancy; four grandchildren, Dan Miller, Dean Miller, Corey Free and his wife Erin, and Sharlyn Daughenbaugh and her husband Gary; six great grandchildren, Bailey, Hailey, Claire, Nathan, Devan, Carlotta; a great great granddaughter, Kinslee Mae.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dan Miller, and three brothers Ernest Huson, Tom Huson, and Richard Huson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday July 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
