Janette Newton Obituary

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August. 5 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
She is preceded in death by husband, John G. Newton; son, John G. Newton Jr.; and sister, Eleanor Sue Simpson.
Survivors include daughter, Lane Newton; granddaughter, Tracey Stith (Phillip); great-grandchildren, Jackson and Abby Stith; and niece, Sue Ellen Williams.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Newton was a great reader, and earlier in her life, she taught reading to elementary school students. She was a long time volunteer at First Baptist Church Sunday nurseries.
Pallbearers are Barry H. Hendrix, Phillip Stith and Jackson Stith. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Simpson, Chuck Simpson, Tom Matthews and Dick Cannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Oak Ranch.
