Janice Claire Adamski
May 14, 1957 - October 17, 2025
Janice, age 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 17, 2025. She was the soulmate and best friend of James Adamski and the cherished mother of Jenny (Jason) Yim, Jackie (Patrick) McPherson, Julie (Adam) Woods, and Jaycie (Jimmy) Canello. Her grandchildren, Madie, Miley, Connor, Miya, Max, Maggie, Riley, and Hailey (and granddog Mac) were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Darlene, nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless loved ones. Her family was her proudest accomplishment and spanned well beyond the names listed above. Her door was always open, and she was a “mom” to so many. Jan loved spending time with her friends, many of whom she knew her entire life. Jan was a lifelong resident of Green Tree, a community that she served proudly in so many ways. She was the epitome of kindness and strength, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or a comforting hug to those around her. She was a lover of nature and was happiest sitting on her porch or on a beach. She was a light for all who knew her and never hesitated to make a memory when given the chance. Family and friends welcome on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Monday, October 20, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd.
