Audrey Ann (Brown) Adamski, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by her devoted family in Clinton Twp, MI.
Born in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, on March 17, 1938, Audrey was the cherished daughter of Ervin "Clay" and Margaret (VanBecelaere) Brown, and loving sister to Kenneth Brown. She graduated from Dominican High School in 1956, and soon after met the love of her life, Richard Adamski of Detroit. Audrey and Richard married in 1960, building a home filled with laughter and love in Warren and
Sterling Heights, MI, where they shared 54 wonderful years together.
Audrey's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found comfort and strength in daily prayers, bible readings, and her weekly prayer group and rosary. Her unwavering devotion was evident in her active participation at St. Philomena's, St. Cletus, St. Dennis, and later St. Malachy's, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched many hearts.
She celebrated life through music, sharing her gift for piano in recitals, singing with joy, and teaching catechism to young minds. Audrey treasured time spent with family and friends whether visiting, picnicking, vacationing, or simply playing games together. Her remarkable curiosity and adaptability shone through her embrace of new technology, keeping her connected to loved ones through her iPad and iPhone well into her 80s.
Above all, Audrey's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Richard, a nurturing mother to Gerald "Jerry", Debra "Debbie" (Paul) DeCook, James "Jim" (Tina), Robert "Bob" (Kim), and Susan "Sue" (Joe) Jozwik, and a proud grandmother to Justin, Ashley, Laura, Josh, Tyler, Shane, Andrew, Cameron, Brody, Ann, Carol, Jacob, Zackery, Brandon, and great-grandmother to Lucia, Joanna, and Josephine. Audrey's home was always open, her heart always welcoming, and her love unconditional.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Richard, her brother Kenneth (Uncle Ken) Brown, her son Bob, and granddaughter Bridget. Audrey's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering friendship. She will be remembered with deep love and missed beyond measure.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors and nurses who cared for Audrey, Father Joe, the staff of St. Malachy's, Residential Hospice, and the extraordinary caregivers at Peace of Mind, who provided comfort and support in her final days.
