Janice M. Beeson, age 85, of Prudenville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Janice was born on July 16, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Ellen (Deszell) Healey. She graduated from St. James Catholic School in Ferndale. Janice retired from Oakland Catholic Credit Union, where she worked for 6 years. She was married on February 7, 1959, at Our Lady of La Salette Church in Berkley, to Gary Beeson. Janice was an active member and past president of the Houghton Lake Does and an avid golfer at White Deer Golf Course. She enjoyed gardening and arranging flowers. Janice attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church before she was no longer able to due to medical issues. Janice taught Catechism classes at Guardian Angels Church in Clawson for many years.
Janice is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Gary Beeson, children, Deborah Kortright, Paul (Luann) Beeson, Monica (Kenny) Adkisson, and Daniel (Pam) Beeson, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Christopher Beeson, and five siblings.
Funeral Services for Janice will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel with Father Matthew Cowan officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Janice are asked to be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
