Janice Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. - Charlotte Hall on Feb. 20, 2026.
Janice Faye Brown, 76, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Born on January 20, 1950, in Clintwood, Virginia, Janice was the daughter of the late James and Helen Milam. She attended beauty school and worked as a beautician before serving as a secretary for Southern Maryland Pre-Release for seven years prior to her retirement.

Janice found great joy in her prayer group and SAMS ministry. She loved sewing and singing, having spent most of her married life traveling and singing in different churches. She cherished the time spent in fellowship and faith, but above all, she treasured her family.

In 1970, she married the love of her life, Terry Brown, and together they built a life rooted in love, faith and devotion. She is survived by her beloved husband, Terry Brown; her son, Matthew Brown of Mechanicsville, Maryland; her daughter, Charity Ryan (Bill) of Mechanicsville, Maryland; her cousin Helen Bowlin of Hanover, Pennsylvania; her cherished grandchild, Padraic Ryan (Breannah), and her great grandchild Watson William.

Services will be at Encounter Christian Center (ECC), Charlotte Hall, Maryland on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with prayers/visitation at 4:00, celebration starting at 5:00.

Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland 20622.
