Janice Driver Curry, age 62, of DeLand, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on October 18,
2025. She was of the Baptist faith.
Janice was born on October 14, 1963, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to James and Dorothy Driver.
She worked in the healthcare profession for many years until she retired to become a
homemaker.
Janice enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly-her
grandchildren were her greatest joy. She had a passion for fishing, camping, and cooking, and
she was known for her warm heart and willingness to help others.
Janice met the love of her life, Bryon, 22 years ago. They were truly made for one another-like
two peas in a pod. Bryon often said the reason he married Janice was for her cooking, but
everyone knew it was her loving spirit that made her irresistible. Janice always believed the sun
rose and set around Bryon. Theirs was a match made in heaven.
Between them, Janice and Bryon were blessed with seven children and fifteen grandchildren:
Ricky (Kalee), Bryan Jr., Katie, Michael, Leonard, Samantha, Michael M. (Nichole), Zachary,
Jeanette, Shane, Mikey, Savannah, Jasmyn, Ayana, Dalton, Kodi, James Lighterknot, Brittany,
Mariah, Austin, Kadin, and Nalin.
Janice is also survived by her three brothers and three sisters: J.D. Driver, Doug Driver, Marvin
Driver, Carol Robinson, Johana Curry Gonzales (John John), and Shirley Dees, as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Driver; her grandson, James
Lighterknot Shipp; her father-in-law, Henry W. Curry; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Curry, Gina
Curry, and Norma Driver.
Janice will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, faith, and
kindness will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
