Janice L. Deiters, a former FBI employee and adored neighborhood mom, passed away on February 2, 2024, in Raymore, Missouri. She was born on September 21, 1944, in Wellsville, Ohio, to Frederick and Genevieve Matthews.
Throughout her life, Janice had a profound impact on those around her with her kind and loving nature. She will be fondly remembered for her homemade fresh baked cookies that brought joy to countless people. As a den mom for the Boy Scouts, she nurtured and inspired young boys, instilling in them values of loyalty and perseverance. Janice extended her helping hands by volunteering at her son's school and engaged with the students as if they were her own.
A devoted mother and doting grandmother, Janice found immense joy in nurturing her family. The proudest accomplishments of her life revolved around being a mother to Richard Deiters III and Matthew Deiters. Their growth and happiness were paramount to her existence. Additionally, she cherished watching over her beloved grandson Cody, creating precious memories that will forever be cherished.
Janice's career spanned as a dedicated employee at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Her commitment to upholding justice and protecting the community was commendable. The discipline she learned during this time carried over into all aspects of her life.
In addition to being a devoted family woman and dedicated career woman, Janice also served as a Marine Wife alongside her beloved husband Richard Deiters II. Her unwavering support during his military service was a testament to her strength and loyalty.
Janice L. Deiters is survived by her sons Richard Deiters III and Matthew Deiters, their spouses, grandson Cody along with his spouse, brother Fred, sister Linda, and seven great-grandchildren. She created strong bonds with each member of her family that will continue to thrive even in her absence.
To honor her legacy and celebrate her life, funeral services for Janice will be held on February 10, 2024, at Longview Funeral Home located at 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO, 64149. The funeral service will commence at 11:00 AM followed by the burial ceremony at Longview Cemetery also located at the same address.
Janice L. Deiters' memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched. Her gentle spirit, selflessness, and unwavering love will continue to inspire future generations to be kind and caring individuals. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman with heavy hearts, we find solace in the knowledge that her legacy of love and compassion will endure for generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
