Janice Dyke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Liston Funeral Home - North Ridgeville on Dec. 13, 2025.
Janice M. Price-Van Dyke, 66, passed away following a brief battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. She was born June 19, 1959, in Avon. Janice attended Baldwin Wallace University where she received a bachelor's degree in computer information science, and a bachelor's degree in business management. Her career was focused on IT development, and she worked for Baldwin Wallace, General Electric, and Oberlin College, where she retired from in 2018. Janice deeply cared for animals, which began at an early age when she rescued an abandoned dog JJ, near where she grew up. This love and compassion for animals continued throughout her life and she adopted and rescued numerous animals, most recently, her companion dog Tigger. When Janice wasn't rescuing animals, she enjoyed spending her time cooking, baking, cross stitching, crocheting, and making beaded jewelry. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Bruce Van Dyke; her daughter Madeline Van Dyke (Zach); her sister, Margaret Prater (Richard); and her brother, Raymond Price (Brenda). She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Price. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League.
