Janice Edelman entered eternal rest at 92 years young on November 17th, 2025, surrounded by three generations of family that adored her. Janice is survived by her daughter, Susan, grandchildren, Marc and Andrea and her great-grandchild, Santino, who will forever cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of ingenuity, resilience, and love.
She lived life entirely on her own terms, never defined by expectations or timelines. After starting college at 69 years old, she continued reinventing herself—studying French, practicing piano, embracing every new chapter with curiosity and joy. Her travels took her from the African savannah to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem— she chased experiences that filled her life with purpose and awe.
A long-time educator in Philadelphia, she was a watercolor instructor at the Woodmere Art Museum and head of the art department at Montgomery County Vocational School. She served as President of the Philadelphia Watercolors Club and was highlighted in more than 30 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in American Art.
She lifted you up with love and a delicious dose of quick wit and honesty.
Today, she is undoubtedly illuminating heaven—with that same quiet warmth, that same spark, that same light she so effortlessly shared with all of us.
Services will be held at the Ann’s Choice Chapel 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974, Thursday, November 20th at 11 A.M. followed by Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in her name.
