Janice Michelle Edmondson, 40, of Amarillo, TX passed away March 3, 2026.

Visitation will be from 5-6:30 PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at First Family Church, 6101 Bell. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Janice was born March 16, 1985 in Wausau, WI to John and Lillie Thompson. Janice earned a medical assistant certificate from Milan Institute.

She was a loyal protector of family & close circle of friends. Janice was an amazing pool player. She was tender, compassionate, and always ready to help those in need. Janice loved her family and was a caring mother, wife, and friend to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul K. Rogers; paternal grandmother, Emily V. Thompson; paternal grandfather, John W. Thompson Sr.; and maternal grandfather, Dewey P. Newburn.

Janice is survived by her husband, Josh H. Edmondson; sons, Brian A. Marrell and wife, Ashton and Jacob P. Marrell; stepdaughter, Jaycee J. Hack; father, John W. Thompson Jr. and wife, Theodora; mother, Lillie V. Rogers; brother, Mitchell A. Thompson and wife, Regina; sisters, Desiree N. Rogers and Natausha M. Rogers; family dog, “buna butt”; 2 nieces; 3 nephews; 3 aunts; 3 uncles; and 9 cousins.

Her faith, strength, and love will continue to inspire those who knew her.
