Janice Arlene Guenthner entered Heaven on November 9, 2025.
She was born on January 1, 1936, in Steele, North Dakota. Janice graduated from Steele High School in 1954 and from Valley City College in 1957. She taught third grade in New Salem, North Dakota. In 1960, she married Reuben Guenthner, who was also a teacher in New Salem. Janice welcomed three children: Jody Olson in 1964, James Guenthner in 1966, and Heidi Geiger (Dan) in 1975. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Jeffrey, Maya, Jada, Kaydan, and Kyra.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; her sister, Muriel Wagg; and her brother, Harold Swanson.
According to Janice's wishes, there will be a private family funeral held at a later date.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Baptist Home in memory of her exceptional care and to the Reuben T Guenthner scholarship fund at the North Dakota Community Foundation.
