Janice Elizabeth Hall, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and love that touched everyone who knew her.

Janice was born on June 8, 1941, in Gladeville, Tennessee, to Benie and Lucille Spickard. She grew up in a close-knit family and attended Donelson High School in Nashville, where she formed lifelong values rooted in perseverance, kindness, and dedication.

In her early years in Nashville, Janice worked at National Life Insurance Company—an experience she loved to recall, especially the memorable time she trained a young Dolly Parton. Later, after moving to Texas, she built an extraordinary 45-year career with Euless Aero Components as a Contract Administrator. In this role, she managed bids and proposals for parts for Bell Helicopter, earning deep respect for her sharp mind, tireless work ethic, and unwavering commitment.

Janice lived life with energy and enthusiasm. She was an avid sports lover—especially baseball—and took joy both in watching and playing. She found great peace in gardening, and her green thumb became part of the landscape of her family’s home. When she moved from Tennessee to Texas, she dug up and brought along her prized irises—heirloom pieces of her roots. Over the years, those irises flourished, lining the driveway and fence surrounding the home she and Ray built together. Their vibrant blooms became a local treasure, with people often driving by just to admire them and take pictures.

Janice also loved caring for the animals on the family farm, especially the little calves, who quickly learned she would spoil them with affection. A gifted cook, she was known for preparing just about anything to perfection, filling her home with warmth, comfort, and unforgettable meals.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ben Spickard, and her sister Judy Spickard.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harvey Ray Hall; her son Ray Hall, Jr. and daughter-in-law Dawn Hall; and her cherished grandchildren Kaitlyn Goodman (Macaulay) and Jared Hall (Jodi). Her family was the pride of her life, and her love for them was unwavering.

A graveside service honoring Janice’s life will be held at Bourland Cemetery on December 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Janice’s life was one of resilience, dedication, joy, and heart. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
