Janice Kay Hill, a cherished wife, mom, nana, sister, daughter and friend passed away on January 23, 2026, in Thornton, CO. She was born on February 10, 1959, in Mead, CO to the late Walter and Donna (Jackson) Burback.
Janice grew up in Mead until they moved to Mitchell, NE where she graduated from Mitchell High School in 1977. During this time Janice met the love of her life and high school sweetheart Alan Hill. They were married on August 22, 1980, in Gering, NE then moved to Rapid City, SD. In 1985 they moved to Denver, CO.
Janice received her Associates Degree in Accounting at Nebraska Western. She left the workforce to be a stay at home mom. As her children grew up, she returned to the oil and gas industry as an accountant and most recently the State of Colorado.
Janice was kind, thoughtful, and loving to all those that knew her. Her smile and laughter warmed everyone around her. Janice cherished every second she spent with her family; either trips to the mountains to see the leaves change, camping and riding ATV’s, or to the beach to watch the sunset and listen to waves crash with her toes in the sand. She was proud of her children and grandkids and enjoyed creating lifelong memories through arts and crafts and making homemade keepsakes.
Janice is survived by her husband Alan Hill; loving children Nichole (Jeremy) Tuttle, Tiffany (Zach) Easdon and Kelsey (Liam) Bedortha and her precious grandchildren Tinsleigh Easdon, Taylor Tuttle, Colt Bedortha, Tennille Easdon and Kennedy Bedortha. Siblings include Kathy (Steve) Lawser, Ken (Heatherlynn) Burback, Chris Burback, Jackie (Mark) Victors as well as an uncle, nieces, nephews and many other family members.
