Janice Ann Hoffman (nee Murphy), age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday morning, July 26, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1937 to Michael and Henrietta (Haag) Murphy in Saginaw, Michigan. Janice graduated from the Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Class of 1957, and began her career as a Registered Nurse at St. Lukes Hospital (now Covenant) and retired as a Hospice nurse for the Visiting Nurse Association. She was a credit to her profession. Janice is survived by her children, Peggy (Ken) Sutter, David (Dennise) Hoffman, Jean (Dave) Andres and Andrew Hoffman; grandchildren, Katie (Luigi) Greco, Kenneth Sutter, Genevieve Hoffman, Mitchell (Erin) Hoffman, Elizabeth Hoffman, Rachel Andres, Jacob Andres and her grand-dog Sara; great grandchildren, Anthony and Enzo Greco; her sister, Patricia Krawczak; sisters in-law, Jean Murphy and Kathy Murphy; many nieces, nephews and extended family; and her special friend, Mary Lawler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Larry Murphy, James Murphy and Thomas Murphy. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services held. The family would like to thank the Covenant Healthcare staff for their kind and compassionate care and support.
