Janice Robin Hunt

Janice Robin Hunt, of Lumberton, was born on November 17, 1990, and entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2026, completing her journey of 35 years.

She is survived by her parents, Mary Zeigler Hunt and Gregory Hunt, both of the home; her siblings, Gregory Hunt, Jr. (Lindsay) of Clarkton, Alexis Hunt of the home, and Jessica Clark of Pembroke; her nieces and nephews, Javarius Moore of Pembroke, Mariah Moore of Maxton, Che Moore of the home, Nia Moore of the home, and Lucas Hunt of Clarkton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charlie and Delpha Hunt; her maternal grandparents, Howard and Della Clark Zeigler; and her sisters, Tabatha Hunt, Ashley Hunt, and Baby Girl Hunt.

Janice had a heart as wide as the Carolina sky. She loved the beach, and the warmth of the sun. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and no birthday was complete without a special trip to Outback, a tradition she looked forward to each year. She loved talking on the phone and staying connected with those she cared about. If too much time had passed, she would sweetly ask, "Why you ain't called me?" - a phrase that will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.

Sweet by nature, Janice never met a stranger. She had a playful spirit and would jokingly say, "People get on my nerves," always with a smile that let you know it was said in love. At every family yard sale, no matter the item or its value, to Janice everything cost "$5.00" - and she stood by it with confidence and laughter.

Janice was truly the backbone of her family - steady, loving, and always present. Most of all, she loved the Lord, and her faith carried her through life's joys and trials. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave so freely will continue to surround her family for generations to come.

She was loved by all, and she will be deeply missed until that glorious day when we meet again.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Boles-Biggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Boles-Biggs Funeral Home Chapel, with the burial following the service at New Point Baptist Church.
