Jackie Chavis Obituary
Mrs. Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie McGirt, a sister, Kathy McGirt, her paternal grandparents, Joe and Lillie McGirt, her maternal grandparents, Sam Clark and Della Lowery, and a granddaughter, Addisyn Michele Locklear.
Mrs. Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Roy Dean Chavis of the home, her four children, Jacquline Chavis ( Josh) and children, Kia, Enyeto, Aria, and Romeo (Lumberton, NC), Myranda Locklear (Jr) and children, Josiah, Jadyn, Jaxson, and Jurnee (Shannon, NC), Ashley Chavis (Cody) and children, Coleston, Caison, and Cameron (of the home), Roy Chavis Jr(Gwen) and children, Emily, Zoe, and Kolby (Hope Mills, NC). Her mother, Jane McGirt. Three brothers, Johnnie McGirt Jr, Tony McGirt (Tammy) and Bruce McGirt. Two special cousins, Kim McGirt, and Tammy Jacobs with a host of family and friends.
Mrs. Jackie's life and legacy will live on through all the generosity and love she showed to everyone she came in contact with. Her love for God shown through with the prayers and time she gave to those in need.
The family will receive family and friends at Boles-Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton, NC at 6pm on Saturday, February 7,2026. Funeral services will be at Benson Chapel Baptist Church in Rowland, NC at 3pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
