Mrs. Janice “Jan” Ruth Clancy, age 72, of Eagleville, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday September 3, 2024. Born in Watertown, MN, she was the daughter of the late George Milford Strandquist and Ruth Marion Tesch Strandquist. She was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Beckman.
Mrs. Jan enjoyed gardening, sewing, and being outdoors. She had a special love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Jan enjoyed cutting hair, traveling to see her grandchildren play sports, sing in choir, and teaching the grandkids the piano. Mrs. Jan always enjoyed cooking and sharing the Gospel to others. She joined her husband, Evangelist Marty Clancy, traveling across the world sharing the message of Jesus Christ to everyone they met. She always had a heart for making sure others were prayed for and enjoyed working the nursery at her church.
Mrs. Jan is survived by her husband, Marty Clancy, of Eagleville, TN; son, JJ (Hilary) Clancy of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Christa (Cuyler) Lanier of Murfreesboro, TN; 6 grandchildren, Claire, Norah, and Elsa Clancy as well as Alyssa, Sydney, and Jocelyn Lanier; sister, Susan Beckman of OK; brothers, Stephen Strandquist and Robert Strandquist of MN.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from Miller Cemetery in the Christiana Community with Rockie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in the Christiana Community in Rutherford County, TN. A celebration of life service is scheduled 2:00PM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Believers Faith Fellowship, 1293 Church St, Christiana, TN 37037.
Family and friends will serve as the pallbearers.
Memorial Donations may be made to FCA Middle TN (Christa Lanier) or Pro-Life Freshproof Ministries.
